Terms of service
Last updated: 30 August 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and NeoTechAdmin ("we", "us") covering your use of quantsec.pro (the "service"). By submitting a scan you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
What the service does
The service inspects a source you nominate — a website, a git repository, a container image, or an archive you upload — and produces a cryptographic bill of materials (CBOM) and a quantum-readiness report describing the cryptography it found. It is an informational tool. It is not a certification, an audit, a penetration test, or a statement of compliance with any standard or regulation.
Who may use it
You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a binding contract. If you use the service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind that organisation to these terms.
Sanctions and export control
You may not use the service if you are a person or entity with whom dealing is prohibited under applicable sanctions or export control laws. Specifically, you represent and warrant that you are not:
- named on any restricted or denied party list, including those maintained by the United States (OFAC Specially Designated Nationals, the BIS Entity and Denied Persons Lists), the United Kingdom (OFSI), the European Union, or the United Nations;
- owned or controlled by, or acting for or on behalf of, any such person or entity;
- located in, ordinarily resident in, or organised under the laws of a country or territory subject to comprehensive sanctions;
- using the service for any purpose prohibited by export control law, including in connection with weapons of mass destruction.
This service performs cryptographic analysis, and cryptographic tooling is export-controlled in several jurisdictions. You are responsible for compliance with the laws that apply to you. We may refuse or withdraw access to anyone we reasonably believe is covered by the above, without notice and without liability.
What you must be entitled to scan
You may only submit a source you own or are authorised to have scanned. The scanner reads whatever you point it at, and it cannot tell whether you had permission. Scanning a system you do not control may be unlawful in your jurisdiction regardless of your intent.
You must not use the service to:
- scan a host, repository or image you are not authorised to scan;
- submit content you have no right to disclose to us, including third-party confidential material and personal data you are not entitled to share;
- probe, overload, or attempt to circumvent the service's limits, isolation or rate controls;
- use the service to develop a competing product, or to resell scanning capacity;
- break any law that applies to you.
Accuracy, and what a scan does not prove
Scan results are produced automatically and are provided for information only. A clean or high-scoring result is not evidence that a system is secure, quantum-safe, or compliant with anything.
The limits are inherent to the method, not defects:
- Detection is artifact-based. The scanner identifies cryptography it can recognise in what it is given; cryptography that is obfuscated, generated at runtime, statically linked, loaded dynamically, or implemented in a form it does not parse will not appear.
- A website scan observes what a TLS endpoint negotiates at one moment from one vantage point. It says nothing about the rest of that system.
- A readiness score is a summary of what was found, weighted by our own method. It is not an industry-standard measure and is not comparable to any other tool's score.
- Absence of a finding is not evidence of absence.
You are responsible for validating any result before you act on it, and for any decision you take on the basis of a report.
Your content and results
You keep all rights in what you submit. You grant us only the limited permission needed to run the scan you asked for and to produce and deliver your results. Scan artifacts are deleted automatically within 1 to 1.5 hours — see the privacy notice for how long anything is kept and what the output contains.
Availability
The service is provided without any guarantee of availability. We may change, suspend or withdraw it, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice. Scans may be rate limited, queued, truncated or refused — for example where a payload is too large to sweep within the time available.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty as to accuracy, completeness, reliability or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or anticipated savings, arising out of or in connection with your use of the service — including any decision taken, or not taken, on the basis of a scan result.
Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred pounds sterling (£100).
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us and hold us harmless against any claim, demand, loss, liability, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) brought by a third party and arising out of:
- your submission of a source you were not authorised to have scanned;
- content you submitted that you had no right to disclose to us;
- your breach of these terms or of any law applicable to you;
- your use of, or reliance on, a scan result.
We will notify you of any such claim and will not settle it without your consent, which you will not unreasonably withhold.
Suspension
We may suspend or terminate your access immediately, without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms, if your use threatens the integrity or availability of the service, or if we are required to do so by law.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published here when you submit a scan, and the date above tells you when it last changed. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the revised terms.
